A Few Words About Batik
Batik is an ancient dyeing technique using a resist to repel dye or save a dyed area. We use bee's wax base resist. I apply the hot wax with a brush by hand. I am self taught and employ everything I know in our work. We use boiling water and steam to remove the wax to finish the process.
